OPEN CALL: 2023 Edition of Young/Unframed Award
The Open Call for applications for the 2023 Edition of Young/Unframed residencies focused on young artists and aspiring curators is officially OPEN.
The residencies are open to Johannesburg-based young visual artists and aspiring curators (aged between 21-35).
Recipients will receive an intensive three-month residency, focused on creating work and preparing for an exhibition at Bag Factory Artists’ Studios, including a working studio space shared with a curator, a modest honorarium, professional practice support, and an exhibition hosted at the Bag Factory Artists’ Studios.

Successful applicants will be announced by no later than 30 July 2023.
