Film festivals and market attendance
Funding for
- Filmmakers who have been invited to a Film Festival or Film Market.
- Filmmakers who has a film screening/ workshop or speaking opportunity at a Festival or Market.
- Filmmakers who will be pitching his/her project at a Festival or Market.
- Filmmakers who will be attending valuable training workshops at a Festival or Market.
- Filmmakers who will be representing their films at an Awards ceremony.
Film Festivals Criteria
The Gauteng Film Commission offers festival funding utilising the following criteria:
- Filmmakers that have been invited to a film/market.
- A filmmaker that has a film screening at the festival
- A filmmaker who will be pitching his/her project at the festival
- Filmmakers that will be attending valuable training workshops at the festival
- Filmmakers that will be representing their films at the Awards ceremony
Eligibility:
The Gauteng Film Commission only considers festival attendance and/or participation for the following:
- Attendance or participation in South African festivals that are launching pads for local films.
- Attendance or participation in international festivals that offer launching pads into the world cinema market for South African films.
- Attendance or participation that offer career enhancing prospects and networking possibilities not achievable in any other way.
- Master classes and professional development programmes not available any other way.
