Cinematographic and audiovisual France-South African co-production agreement spotlight

France and South Africa are proud to announce their new cinematographic and audiovisual co-production agreement.   The only agreement of this scale between France and the African continent, it will encourage creation of new content and narratives by stimulating co-production between our two countries.   To inform film practitioners about the co-production agreement as well as how to apply, the French Institute of South Africa, the French National Center for Cinema and Animated Image (CNC), the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) and the Department of Trade and International Competition (DTIC) are hosting two webinars.   The first webinar will take place on September 28, 2023 at 2 pm CAT and is open to all players in the film industry.   Speakers: 

– Terrence Khumalo, Project Monitoring & Evaluation Manager, National Film and Video Foundation 
– Julien Ezanno, Bilateral Affairs Advisor, International Policy Unit, National Center for Cinema and Animated Image (CNC)
– Nelly Molokoane, Director: Film and TV Incentive , Department of Trade, Industry and Competition

Presentation of the agreement relating to cinematographic and audiovisual co-production between France and South Africa

France and South Africa are proud to announce their new agreement on cinematographic and audiovisual co-production. The only agreement of this scale for France on the African continent, it aims to encourage the creation of new content and stories, by expanding and stimulating cinematographic and audiovisual co-production between our two countries.

In order to inform cinema professionals about the agreement and its terms, the French Institute of South Africa, the National Center for Cinema and Animated Images (CNC), the National Film and Video Foundation (NFVF) and the Department of Trade, Industry and Competition (DTIC) are organizing two online seminars.

The first online seminar will take place on September 28, 2023 at 2 p.m. CAT and is open to everyone in the film industry.
