NRF and DOL calling on applications for scholarships by students with disabilities
|
|
The National Research Foundation (NRF) and Department of Labour (DOL) are calling on scholarship applications from students with disabilities. This programme is for eligible students studying towards a BTech qualification.
Eligibility criteria:
- Applicant must be a South African Citizen
- Applications are open for any student in any field registered for and studying towards a BTech qualification
- Beneficiaries will be required to work in South Africa for at least one year after completion of the course/study
Applicants must also note that these freestanding scholarships may not be held concurrently with bursaries, grants or emoluments which bind the recipient to enter into the service of the contract holder on completion of his/her study. Bursaries may also not be held concurrently with any other NRF bursary.
The value of the scholarships is R45 000 and the NRF can assist 4 students.
The closing date for applications is 12 August 2009, of which the Academic Record, copy of ID and
Proof of Registration should be attached.
