The FILM ENTREPRENEUR Bootcamp experience is a training initiative division that is aimed at engaging the youth and every individual who is within the reach of Johanesburg Central Business District, Sophiatown and the surrounding peri-uban areas in all spheres of the FILM & TV:

  • Art Department: Production Design, Set Construction, Special Effect Make up & Wardrobe; Props & Stand-by Props.
  • Scriptwriting and Camera Operation
  • Production Department: Production Management, Production Financing, Production Scheduling
  • Film & TV Entrepreneurship: Marketing & Distribution, Responding to Request for Proposal

The initiative will create windows of opportunities to up and coming talent by giving them an exposure into the inner workings  & the much-neglected income generating aspects of the Film/TV industry.

The program will not entail the old forms of training learners in a customized institutionalized fashion, instead it will bring the film set experience right on the forefront by implanting a hands on approach that is accompanied by a theorized structure; which is used to familiarize the trainees with the importance of the Art Department & The Business of Film & TV.

Trainees will undergo a detailed intense twelve (12) weeks theoretical and practical program explaining FILM & TV Production as a viable commercial business and the process involved in preparing for a film shoot and right after this phase, all of the trainees will be placed in a production project. It is also our aim to get them to experience the 48HR Film Making Challenge among other things in order to further expand their Workplace Component (on-the job experience).

Our focus will be mainly for the beneficiaries: women, youth and people with disability located in the City of Joburg Municipality, Sophiatown & the surrounding Peri-Urban areas; however we will be open to other surrounding areas in the region at a later stage.

Requirements for this program are as follows:

  1. A certified copy of Matric Certificate
  2. A certified copy of your Identity document
  3. Proof of Address
  4. Current Curriculum Vitae

The program will run from 1 August to 1 November 2022
