TALES FROM A FISCH SYNOPSIS
“Tales From The Fisch” is a conversational 4 part documentary, broken up in chapters about 5 people who live in Bramfischerville, Soweto. A low-cost housing, squatter camps and bond houses township in the West side of Soweto not far from Dobsonville.
It is named after Abraham “Bram” Fischer an Afrikaans lawyer and Chairman of the South African Communist Party, who later became known as the lawyer who led the defense team of Nelson Mandela, Govan Mbeki and Walter Sisulu among others at the Rivonia Treason Trial.
The documentary covers topics like love, manhood, success, unemployment, domestic abuse and drug abuse with the subjects, who share very intriguing stories about their experiences in and out the township their situated in.
